 TESTING THE TAYLOR GC
This is a smaller body guitar than the accidental Dreadnaught I brought home last night.  Wentworth Music is so patient with me, I keep exchanging guitars because I am so easily disappointed by most guitars.  This one, when I pulled it off the wall, was clearly obvious.  I cannot believe how nice Taylor guitars are.
We just saw JD Souther, who wrote the song I'm playing, "New Kid In Town".  It was weird, he didn't tune his guitar before he played this song, and it was horribly distracting.

Are you sure this is a Grand Concert?  It look more like a GS (Grand Symphony.)  The current GC guitars have a "slot head" headstock (like a classical guitar) and this guitar obviously has a standard headstock.  Plus the position of the waist looks more like a GS.

Glad you are enjoying your new Taylor, whichever it is.  They are great guitars!  Be sure to keep your guitar humidified to around 44-48 percent relative humidity.  Solid guitars can crack if not humidified properly.  I use a couple of "Dampit" humidifiers in the soundhole of the guitar to help achieve that, especially during the winter months.  Check out Taylor's info about humidity here: http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/features/woods/humidity/default.aspx

OK... saw a more direct photo of the GC in the other post with the slideshow.  From the direct angle, it's definitely a GC, not a GS.

What model year is the guitar though?  Current model years are slot-heads.  This GC doesn't have one.  The nomenclature is year, month, day (of starting the build), and lastly the number of the guitar started on that date.

When is the new collapsible lightsphere going to be for sale?  It was announced many months ago.
