The collapsible reminds me of the old Hoyarex lens hood and the one Hoya currently make for themselves and Hama. The Hama one is called the Telematic and is designed for lens from 28 to 200. Guess as your using it for a different purpose that it does not cause an issue.

I would imagine this will be very popular as it saves so much space.
