Nice speech...he lied though on a few things..WE did not invent the automobile like he thinks..Plus he said there were no earmarks in the stimulus package..9,000 to this date has been counted....yep, change is here??not really, still typical democrats...did you know the states have to pay that money back they are getting and will have to raise taxes to do it?  Some governors are refusing to be held hostage to do that to their citizens and refusing the money.....typical democrats..tax and spend.

We have enough oil in our country to not import any from anywhere for 40 years and the cost would be down to $16 a barrel but the environmentalists won't let us drill it....so blame the tree huggers too and the democrats who don't have enough back bone to go ahead and do what is best for the country.

I'd say if the stupid media would shut their mouths for a while and everybody talking doom and gloom would quit thinking the worst.....

Most of this country is based on small businesses and not the big 3 auto makers. If all the people that buy cars quit buying cars, guess what's next? Why should we spend $100 for an 8 x 10 at a pro studio when they can get the 'same' thing at Wal-Mart for $6? Yeah, our clients will either quit spending with us and go to the cheap merchandisers for their piece of photographic paper with their 'picture' on it and that will suffice.

I hope and pray people don't stop spending, because I'll go out of business. Media should be telling people to buy and keep the economy rolling. Think of all the small businesses that's going to be hurt! And I think photographers that will drop prices to try and 'comptete' with the cheapos and the discounter will be out of business even faster.

The gov't throwing money at the banks is stupid. Look at what they did to get to where they're at right now! I'd like to borrow about $50k to infuse new life into my business. Is the gov't go to help the small business owners? Hell, we'll end up paying for the sub-prime lenders. Get Nancy Pelosi out....she's a nut and I know it, because I lived under her climb up the political ladder for 26yrs. in CA. Now look at the mess CA is in. Yeah.....let the liberals throw money to their entitlement programs and giving all the rights to the illegal aliens. 'Spread the wealth'. Forget about owning a small business, working hard, succeeding, getting wealthy and then BAM, the government will take all of your hard work and give it to the people that would rather be on welfare, pop out unwanted babies, send their illegally earned money out of the country and since it was most likely cash and/or under the table, we don't get any tax revenue either from them anyway!

This country is heading toward a two class system and our wonderful gov't and banks is the cause. Continue more of the same decades old crap like busing. I've seen how that's destroyed the publice school system in LA county. Trying that gov't program was really successful! Make it so difficult that both parents have to work and let the kids come home and take care of themselves! Those little thugs grow up without any direction and become our future leaders????? That's scary! It's about more and more for less and less. Immediate satisfaction. Let the ACLU run the country, now there's a good group! Until 'we' become minorities, the ACLU will let and expect the middle class and wealthy 'even it up' for the unsuccessful people that will never make it on their own, so WE should 'help' them.

Where was the liberals when I struggled growing my business during the Carter administration? The big thing I'm worried about is that I have no 401k or retirement, because I could never get far enough ahead and nobody taught that to me growing up about finance, so I was irresponsible 35 yrs ago and the pit I dug is still there. Social Security is a joke and won't be there when I retire. Who started SS? Let's hear it for the liberals!!!!

It rarely comes up in the context of my work. Considering the number of both military and mormon weddings I've shot over the years, its not much of an issue.

But I have also turned down portrait work for political clients I thought were pigs.
