$700 Billion Bailout by Congress -
Now it's $2 Trillion - in secret bailout funds
paid by you, the taxpayer.  No transparency.

This is not fiction, it's true.  While we are all worrying about the 700 billion in taxpayer bailouts of "toxic" debt that then went to buy bank stocks instead (interesting that the Treasury Secretary was recently a banking CEO) now the treasury, (probably sensing that this is the last chance to steal from the taxpayer), appears to be doing what it can while it can before January when the new guard takes over.  $2 trillion.  In your tax dollars.  Being given to companies that the treasury fails to disclose.
Taxation without representation.

still waiting for the Fong rescue plan that you could have convinced congress to pass . . .

or we can just go on and on about how the one that was passed sucks

How about China today saying they are doing a 600 billion dollar stimulus package.

How about the dollar gaining strength today.

AIG got a total of $167 Billion of it but agreed to a five yr 10% payback.

(IMO)  Let the automakers fail. Their shares are going to be worthless anyway.

exactly, any business than cannot survive during a downturn should not be in business. Also the number of weddings is not down, you are just not competitive

Yep, most in our area now just want 4x6 prints and a CD. I don't do many expensive large albums any longer. They love them but will not pay the price any longer. (in general)

Makes my job easier... edit and burn

@hiphugginjeans - LOLOLOL  Hip: You're killing me! that's hilarious. too good!

Actually my photog biz has been great! But for 2009 brides aren't interested in $5K-$8K wedding books.  (and I'm one of the highest priced photogs in my area)

Plus, I'm not interested in doing many more weddings.  Rather be trading the market!

May be I'm too conservative too?    OoooooooHhhhhhhhhh  Noooooooooooo!

Obama just said he is going to lift the federal ban and have the government fund stem cell research which means more federal spending to add to our debt..McCain was right, federal spending is going to increase, not decrease..

It is hard to be competitive in the wedding business when "uncle tom" can use a Rebel XT to shoot a family wedding and get decent images if that is all they want and get pretty good prints made at .46 each.

There will always be a need for good photography/photographers at a fair market value.

Just have to keep your name and work in front of the niche you're marketing to.

hihugginjeans, looks like you are another photographer who is going thru life with rose colored glasses while all your potential clients are getting family members.  That's it, keep your head in the sand and you will continue to be ignorant in what keeps photography businesses afloat..I'd rather eat roadkill than file bankruptcy or wave bye bye to potential customers as they get their uncle joe's to do their own photography..you cannot deny that is not happening..to deny it shows publicly your ignorance.

Hummm...the democrats  in congress are divided about what to do with about the defense spending..doesn't look like a united democrat government to me.  If Obama cuts the military the way some democrats want then we as a nation will not be able to respond to military manners like we should..for our own national security we should never cut the military. Yes defending your nation is expensive but worth it.  Like Reagan's motto was "Peace thru strength"..it works.  We should make the world fearful for attacking 1 american citizen.

It was just on your own liberal news network that Obama now wants Bush to hurry up and bail out the auto makers..Change?   Where is it?  He wants to increase federal spending?  You liberals really shouted and cut down Bush and his people for the bailouts and now your president elect is wanting to do the same thing and do the same stimulus package Bush did..Come'on people, let me hear you shout down your own president elect for doing the same thing you complained about Bush..let's hear it....No?  Silence?  Typical...you can dish it out but can't take it when the same thing happens in your own party....uh huh!!

JarrettGreen, I guess you didn't read the scripture where Jesus told his followers to sell their cloaks and buy a sword..of course you didn't or you won't acknowledge it..
