whenever I shoot, I look for triangles
Even though these photos were taken on a point-and-shoot, they look awesome.  One thing that I do whenever shooting is try to form "triangles" in my composition.
Second thing I do is try to find the most amount of color contrast that I can within the same image.  You'll notice lots of yellows and blues today, forming triangles.
I did this a lot in my wedding work, but in the wedding work I tried to make triangles with positioning people.  Since photographs are so two-dimensional, triangles really give an image a lot of visual interest, making it dart around a composition a lot.  Can you spot the triangles?

Lovely, saturated colors, & great use of the "triangular" composition.
