dot line flexidomes are wiped off ebay
It has taken ebay a little while but I have to say that they are really fast in closing down stores and auctions of counterfeit products.  High fives to Crystal from our staff who was tasked with removing the listings, and G. Warren Bleeker of CPH who has been on top of things.
If any of you out there know of stores that are still selling the DOTLINE Flexidome - please inform us at legal@garyfonginc.com.
At one point there was something like 1,000 of these counterfeits per day being listed on ebay, and we had to make it go away, come what may - and to that, I say, "what the hey".

That's awesome. I friend of mine and I found this other product and didn't know if you knew about it. It's called a Lambency Soft Flash Diffuser. There are a could of links below. We tried emailing them to you so if you got the email then ignore this. Love to blog and the products!

The second one is a review and the guy actually talks about you and gives a link back to your store.

In light of the fact most sellers bought these in good faith from dotline having them removed through vero may make you feel great but the sellers are now losing their PowerSeller status for a copyright violation they may know nothing about. I just did a search on Terapeak and see that over the last ninety day less than 75 total  dotline flexidomes were sold on eBay. I had them listed in my store and sold exactly zero over the last ninety days - so where you get this number of a thousand a day is questionable. You should have written those sellers to let them know before unleashing eBay Vero on them. Most would have complied without the eBay Vero removal - many eBay sellers are honest, hard working retailers. This leaves a very bad taste the retailers mouth and will now not view your company very kindly. Remember, in business it's good to have friends if you want to sell your product.

From one of those eBay Sellers you so proudly removed.

Hey - we did try to contact many of the ebay sellers and the response was mostly, "kiss my ass". You probably were one of the newer ones but honestly ebay needs to know where the counterfeits are being sold. It is their policy as well as mine.

Any check on any of the forums would have told you that there were a lot of people talking about the "knockoffs" and the "counterfeit" flexidomes that DOTLINE was sending out to retailers. I would have thought twice.

I am sorry that your business is impacted - but I cannot feel bad for having the counterfeits removed. Closing stores is ebay's policy, not mine, but if you asked me - I think it is totally justified.

Gary,

I was in Ohio visiting friends and family and stopped into Loomis Camera in Elyria, Ohio on July 5, 2008 and noticed they had Dot Line ripoffs of your diffuser on the shelf.

I saw in today's email (7 July 2008) the info about Josh. Very inappropriate. Maybe that's why the link no longer works?
