los angeles has got to be next
L.A. is on one heck of a stuck fault, and they're predicting a catastrophic earthquake that is long overdue.  My condo is on landfill, which is subject to liquifaction, so if there's a strong earthquake the whole thing goes down.
I've made copies of my childhood photos, so those are safe and out of the building.  My yacht is on the water and I hope that will be safe too, but I figure the condo's days are numbered.  I have a couple of guitars and a whole bunch of junk in my L.A. warehouse so maybe I should move the guitars.
Quakes in Japan, Greece, etc. really do signal the 'end times'.  It is not too late to repent, according to google searches, you can do it at the very last minute.

Thats one of the reasons we sold our home last year and got out of El Segundo.   The way the housing was going down, and with a major earthquake there, it will be disastrous.   Last Northridge earthquake it took almost 10 years to get the housing prices back up to where they were, and we weren't in a depression/recession..   So many people will just walk away from their homes since they owe so much on it and they will be worth almost nothing.

Colorado doesn't have earthquakes like that, now if I can just get the tornados out of here!

I'm sorry if it comes off as kind of bad - but you can repent at the last second.

Lately, I really have gotten the impression that you are examining some of your spiritual beliefs. I want to share with you a conversation I had with my teenage son who was obviously doing some questioning of his own. I asked him to consider the love that he feels for me, his mom and the rest of our family, and his friends. I asked him to think about how powerful that feeling is.....and would he do anything for us. Gladly...he said he would. Then, I asked him if that love really made any sense in a intellectual way.....and of course it doesn't. Lastly, I asked him if it seemed possible that our biological self( a big bag of water with some proteins and enzymes) could possibly generate the kind of love that he has for us. His answer was no. Love...the most powerful thing we can comprehend cannot come from us. It's hear, we feel it, it becomes who we are, but yet where did it come from. Faith is like that...that's why they call it faith. It makes no sense, and the harder you try to intellectualize it...the more you'll miss. I've seen you're wedding photos...and you are a man who is capable of great love...and I'll bet you don't spend any time trying to sort it out. Apply that to your faith....and let go.

@garyfong1 - In my personal experience, I know God loves me and I feel His presence and hear from Him which brings me so much comfort in this crazy world.  I have struggled with so many issues, but everyday He transforms me as I surrender to Him.  I have been healed in so many ways by my loving Savior.  I wouldn't know that kind of love for me or be able to love others unconditionally if I didn't choose to follow Him years ago.  I know because I have followed Him and His ways, I have been saved from so many things that could have really destroyed my life since I was so niave and trusting of everyone.

Gary -
Timing is important, and in our work it's fundamental to our success. In a marriage, two people choose to become one and their wedding is a loud ceremonial shout of their love and surrender to one another.

Gary, when a man is in love with a woman, he tells her of his love. He limits himself, even before marriage, to her alone. His thoughts constantly return to her. The future he plans is built for and with her. His breath and strength are dedicated to her. He guards himself, and her, from anything that would threaten their relationship. His love is expressed in time, touches, words and gifts – because he wants to.

This man's love is real. It is not a formula, obligation or a calculated activity to merely get something in return. He is not ashamed of his love, though in the world's eyes it costs him.

Gary, it comes down to this. No real man, a man in love, a man who truly desires a woman promises her a deathbed marriage. That love is nothing. No real woman would settle for that relationship and how much less will the God of Heaven.

Gary, I love you man. We don't know each other but my heart aches for you to know His love, He is waiting for you NOW at the alter. It's a ceremony that will never end. It's a relationship that will never end. He longs to know you. Be careful of "screaming" evangelists and of Google's theology. Trying to time your repentance to the last possible moment does not demonstrate repentance. That repentance is nothing and will tragically yield nothing. Here's a link to learn more.

Constantine waited until the last breath. Plus - honestly I don't buy the whole thing but it might not be a bad idea to proclaim it just as insurance.

can't do it. Ain't feeling it however - I've heard it said that all you need to do is say it so seriously what's wrong with that? "Experts" have said just say it, so I'll say it just to be sure. I want to hang with Jess and Mark.

Gary is right. You can repent at any time. But, is that really the thing to do, or is it a complete waste of time?

The word "repent" may have been mis-interpreted, because the definition of "spiritual sin" may have been wrong all along. I would propose the word "pent-up" - repressed, suppressed, stifled, smothered, restrained, confined, bottled up, held in/back, unvented, kept in check, curbed, bridled. Most religions, or faiths have kept people in sin, and out of the "Kingdom of God" to use one of the popular names to describe and indescribable state of Being. How did they accomplish that? With stories, with words, supposedly coming from God. Of course, there are different Gods for different religions. And, some are ready to die for it.

DESIREDFOCUS: I lost my personal relationship, social, and financial naiveté by learning through life's trial and error process, and following expert's advice. So, because of personal experience, and expert' advice, I've been saved from so many things that could have really destroyed my life. Am I completely out of trouble? No. New things, and experiences crop up, and I have to adjust accordingly with new knowledge. Are you completely saved from anything that comes your way? I think that if God wanted you to solve a financial problem, He may want you to consult a financial expert. But, you knew that before He needed to tell you.

From PCPhotography link:
"Psychologists have long known that every person has two great longings and inward needs. The first is to be loved, and the second is to love." (NOTE: And...they are making lots of money on people that don't get either one, and think that they need to have it, in order to be "happy". So are the love & relationship gurus that sell tons of books, and seminars on how to find love, and those who explain why it did not work out. Most of them had and continue to have troubled relationships. But, they can tell others how to do it. The formula is simple: 1) Sell people on the fact that they lack something in order to live a better life or make life easier. 2) Tell them that you have what they need. 3) Sell it to them. Example: 1) You are a sinner, you won't go to Heaven - in fact you'll go to Hell forever. Are you afraid enough? Yes, then... 2) Jesus saves. 3) Accept Jesus. Billion dollar industry.)

"The tragedy is that we often look in the wrong places to fill this deep, deep need and longing." (NOTE: Ain't that a fact!)

Admit Your Sin
"It is our sin that separates us from God and from fulfilling our deepest needs and longings. Sin is an offense against God that carries a serious penalty. According to Romans 6:23, "The wages of sin is death [eternal separation from the love and mercy of God." (NOTE: So, what are your deepest needs and longings? I would say that those are the sins. Also. 'Longing for' means you don't have it yet. There is separation between what you have or who you are, and what you want or want to become. That belief that you do not have, IS PART OF THE SIN. So is the delusion of thinking that you have it, when you don't.

Abandon Your Efforts
Second, you must abandon any efforts to save yourself. If we could save ourselves, Jesus' death would have been unnecessary! Even "getting religion" cannot get you to heaven.... God's grace, and mercy. (NOTE: So, why hold on to our precious Christian beliefs? We can't do it for ourself. My version of the Bible writes, not "believe", but "rely" on Jesus Christ. In other words, rely on the fact that He showed the Way, and you need only to let go of everything to see It. Sins are washed away. How many times must we be told, and in how many ways, before we understand that we need to let go of all the words, including religion?).

Accept Christ as Your Savior
Salvation is God's gift to you. "The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23). When someone offers you a priceless gift, the wisest thing you can do is accept it! (NOTE: ... "through Christ" is true. Not Jesus, but Jesus who became Christ: The door or portal shown by Jesus. The gift has been given, the way has been shown, "taking it" is not talking about it endlessly through particular dogma, and belief systems. Instead of repeating like a parrot that Jesus is the Way - take the bloody Way - no pun intended - and get out of sin - that is, get out of ignorance, and the delusion of the mind and physical matter, which are kept alive by using the interpretative mind and words. It's not repeating like a parrot that you accept Jesus as Savior, blah, blah, blah, that will get you saved. It's by going through the Door (Christ). How to you go through the door? Shuddup, already!... (Remember the "Be still (or shuddup you mind) and KNOW that I AM GOD"?)

Now, if you enjoy using words, like me, and playing ego games of the "I'm right, you're wrong" variety, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do....:) It makes not difference in my spiritual life, except, maybe, taking time away from silence. I know I will not convert anybody, nor do I intend to do that. I'm sharing information.
