 ebay's vero program is effective!!!!
When you notify ebay that a store is selling counterfeit items - they not only remove the product from ebay - THEY TAKE DOWN THE ENTIRE STORE!!
Such is the case with xfotoman - an online store that had many, many items besides my counterfeited items.  An ebay store may have thousands of feedback ratings, Powerseller status, etc.  And they lose the entire store because they are selling counterfeit items.
I want to thank so many of you for informing me of the counterfeits, and my legal team at CPH for putting together the rigorous enforcement of the removal of counterfeit items.
Additionally, thank you to so many of you for helping us pinpoint the stores that are selling the unauthorized DOTLINE RPS "Flexidome" diffuser.  We are going after these retailers with notification.

Gary, did you try contacting this person to see if he knew what he was selling was counterfeit? I mean, did you give him a chance to correct the issue or did you go straight to eBay?

I would hope that you contacted the guy and gave him a chance to make it right and when he didn't you then went to eBay. Not everyone that is selling the counterfeit reflectors would know would they?

dualsub,

come on, are u really that naieve? of course he knew what he was doing. the first tip off would be that he didn't get the products from an approved distributor, and no legitimate distributor had any known dealings with him.

@jacksonwholephoto -

Back up hole. I have seen a Lambency diffuser and the box didn't say "Gary Fong" on it. It was blue and said Lambency. If I didn't come here I would have no real reason to even know that a Lightsphere exists and that I shouldn't buy a Lambency. The person that I saw with one had NEVER heard of Gary Fong or a Lightsphere. You have and I think that's just swell. You're a much better person for knowing the name Gary Fong. Did this guy that had the eBay store know the name? That's all I asked.

And in case you missed it I didn't ask you; I asked Gary.

Gary - the local retailer here did pull the flexidome's off the shelf. I spoke with the manager when I saw them right next to the GFI puffer and origami and he said "Fong doesn't have a patent on those domes." I said if there is one thing that I know about Gary Fong it's that he has a patent for everything! Oh, and I believe he just cleansed his colon and crapped a snake - but I can't confirm that.

@garyfong1 - Here in St. Louis the pro shop is Schiller's. Like I said - I went in a couple of days later and those Dot Line Flexidomes were gone. I suggested he research it himself and to check your blog so I don't know if that convinced him or if he received a letter from your attorney already. He's a good guy and it's the last pro shop around so go easy on 'em. I'm sure they will happily sell your dome's alongside the Puffer and Origami.
