Doesn't it make more sense to buy any investment when it's on a general low rather than a general high? I bougth a few gold coins in 2000 when it was in the $300. range for an once and I don't regret it. It made sense then but now that it's the $700.range I think I might regret buying at today's prices.

You want to buy investments when others don't want it and aren't buying adn the prices are low. Not when others are buying and the prices are high.

Can you please do a video of how to buy an ice cream cone?  There are just too many stores that sell ice cream cones and, even if I did know which one to go to, there are too many flavors...

creativetechguy - it makes more sense to accumulate period. When purchasing anything peacemeal, you're engaging in the discipline of doing it. Trying to "time" any market is so frustrating - everybody wants to buy at the bottom and sell at the top and it is not possible. But what you can do is try to gauge imbalances and be on the other side of the teeter-totter. That's awesome that you bought a few gold coins in 2000 when it was $300 - at this point - imagine how you would be if you made it a discipline to purchase one per month?
