IT IS GOOD TO BE ABLE TO SEE THE FUTURE CLEARLY

I don't have a problem seeing the future clearly.  On the right is one of the first digital cameras by Kodak, weighed so much and would only work tethered to a computer.  Had something like 2 megapixels, for like 20 grand.
I saw the image quality and it was awful.  The uses were so limited because you weren't portable.  So it really could only be used tethered in a studio environment.
I'll write more tomorrow.

The intended target audience was news photographers. I used one of these early on. Yeah, the quality was crap, but when you're printing on toilet paper, your newspaper editors don't care. So long as you can stay at an assignment later, the editors are happy!

So will you be getting the new Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III with the full frame sensor at 21 Megapixels?

Foveon would be the way to go.

If only Foveon had licensed a lens mount from Nikon or Canon (or both like Kodak). They could have gone with the Four Thirds spec. But no, they developed their own.

Too bad.

Nice sensor technology but who wants to dump their lenses and start over with a limited, single source?

That's my 2ยข worth. Let's see where Gary is going...
