THE RANCH IS FURNISHED! THE THEATER IS DONE!

The technicians are finally fired up the movie theater today, and we unpacked and arranged the theater seats. This floor is going to be such a hangout. It's a lakeview movie theater which opens to the pool deck. There is a full Viking kitchen behind the theater seats, a rock fireplace, and a sauna all within the same area. There's also a card table for late-night Poker games (I still have to learn to play)

We moved the furniture into place - some pieces are still missing, but today we sat on the huge HUGE comfy sofas which face the two-story open windows and fell asleep - our first nap at the ranch. I went to the Chiropractor and missed sunset, but Mel said that it was so breathtaking she didn't move for half an hour. That's funny. CLICK HERE FOR IMAGES

looks awesome gary! how big is your screen and which model projector are you using? I ask because I recently set up my home theater and am curious as to how you selected your theater. the furniture and recessed ceiling looks realy nice.

The screen is a special "x-screen". Weighs about 300 lbs and cost about 12 grand. It is special because it reflects light much stronger in the viewing area so that you could actually watch it outdoors with full brightness.

adhaney - I don't know! I hired a company to build the theater. All I know was it is all matched to the room, and it's really impressive.

Cabby? Read the "Secret" post for my comment about the "maybe one day" phrase :)

Wow! The architecture is rocking. Need to get that place in some Achitectural Digest type mags. Isn't this where the wedding is? Can't wait to see it and swim in the new pool.

Wow Gary,
So happy for you and Mel!!! You took a complete disaster and transformed it. It seemed to be such a place of darkness when you first bought it and now it is a place of beautiful light! Shining on a mountain top. Way to go (again).
